We had a situation where a different contractor, who shall remain unnamed, told us that the main gas valve on our furnace was leaking based on (our opinion) pretty sketchy data. Our builder pointed us at Legacy One for a second opinion. Casey came out and inspected the system for leaks (none found) and, even more importantly, educated us on what he was testing for and why. As an engineer, I always appreciate a clear and thorough explanation of the debugging process. Consequently, I have no hesitation in endorsing Legacy One for both thoroughness and honesty. They both saved me a considerable amount of money as well as safety concerns. A clear 5* experience.

We were introduced to Legacy One through our general contractor who works with Karl and his team often. We appreciated Karl’s expertise in helping us understand various trade-offs and considerations in picking out a new HVAC system for our older home. The installation crew did a good job with initial setup, but their communication left a lot to be desired. We especially appreciated Collin’s follow-up, going the extra mile to get everything up and running, and giving us a walk-through on what we need to do to operate and maintain our new heat pump and furnace. Despite hiccups along the way, I’d recommend Legacy One to any homeowner with heating/cooling projects on their to-do list.

Updated for 2025: Legacy One once again came through for us when our heat pump went out during the hot streak in July. They quickly diagnosed the issue, got us on the calendar ASAP, and provided great installation and service installing a new, much more efficient heat pump. The difference is amazing—we have been able to keep the house at a cool 75 degrees on the 90-degree days with only the heat pump. Highly recommend again! 2021 review Legacy One Heating has been our go-to company for our home heating and cooling because they are reliable, offer helpful advice, and provide cost-effective solutions. We called them the first time when our water heater died unexpectedly. Karl, the owner, responded immediately, giving us options and ultimately saving us thousands of dollars on the replacement. We used them again to install a new heat pump system. We now are able to keep our house warm and cool for a fraction of the cost. We even leveraged their services to clean and update an existing fireplace. They added a programmable thermostat and breathed new life into the old system so we didn't have to purchase a replacement. The entire team was courteous, efficient, on time, and able to deliver on their estimates! Thanks so much for your help.

I submitted a Yelp request for annual heat pump/gas furnace maintenance quotes on Friday and received 4 responses, all from 4+ star providers. Legacy One Heating was having a special offer of ~$100 off, and I gave them a try. I requested and immediately received detailed info on their maintenance checklist. My appointment was set for the day I asked for, Tuesday, 4 days later. On Tuesday, I got a message that the technician was on his way. He was scheduled for 10am-noon. He arrived at 10:20am and took a little over an hour to complete his tests. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He offered to explain any facet of my HVAC system multiple times to make sure I knew he was open to anything I wanted. I give them 5 stars because they did exactly what I wanted, they did nothing wrong or negative, and I cannot think of anything they could have done to do a better job.

Wow, it was very refreshing to get good old customer service. I was able to interact with two service techs, both of whom were very positive. After talking with them, I could tell they were happy working at Legacy One and had good support from their management. I didn't feel rushed, and they took time to double-check whether a part that had been ordered would address an issue that was discovered during routine maintenance. They took extra time to make sure the furnace was working and we were happy. I will be calling Legacy One for any AC/furnace needs in the future.

Very professional company that went above and beyond their competitors! I contacted 5–6 HVAC companies looking to work with a reimbursement process via our home warrantor. Legacy One was the only company that was willing to work with us, which required an additional phone call to our warrantor to obtain an authorization code. The techs were very punctual, professional, and communicative. In sum, we are quite pleased with them and will be returning again next year!
