I submitted a Yelp request for annual heat pump/gas furnace maintenance quotes on Friday and received 4 responses, all from 4+ star providers. Legacy One Heating was having a special offer of ~$100 off, and I gave them a try. I requested and immediately received detailed info on their maintenance checklist. My appointment was set for the day I asked for, Tuesday, 4 days later. On Tuesday, I got a message that the technician was on his way. He was scheduled for 10am-noon. He arrived at 10:20am and took a little over an hour to complete his tests. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He offered to explain any facet of my HVAC system multiple times to make sure I knew he was open to anything I wanted. I give them 5 stars because they did exactly what I wanted, they did nothing wrong or negative, and I cannot think of anything they could have done to do a better job.

Wow, it was very refreshing to get good old customer service. I was able to interact with two service techs, both of whom were very positive. After talking with them, I could tell they were happy working at Legacy One and had good support from their management. I didn't feel rushed, and they took time to double-check whether a part that had been ordered would address an issue that was discovered during routine maintenance. They took extra time to make sure the furnace was working and we were happy. I will be calling Legacy One for any AC/furnace needs in the future.

I contacted 5–6 HVAC companies looking to work with a reimbursement process via our home warrantor.
Legacy One was the only company that was willing to work with us, which required an additional phone call to our warrantor to obtain an authorization code.
The techs were very punctual, professional, and communicative.

Super quiet and comfortable
I wanted a quote to add a heat pump/AC to my existing HVAC system. Karl came early to quote the job, talked me through placement concerns (hooray noise ordinances) and was upfront about possibilities and remediation if there was an issue with inspection. Additionally, my existing furnace was short cycling and Legacy One provided a great deal on the full package of a heat pump and a new two-stage variable speed furnace. Install was smooth and fast, and the crew fixed an issue with how the previous furnace was vented. The heat pump was installed where I wanted it, is super quiet, and keeps the house comfortable during the days where it would have been 85+ inside. 5 stars, have recommended them to multiple friends.

From the first appointment, Karl (the owner) was very thorough. At the initial visit, he (among three different companies) was the only person who checked my electricity capacity to ensure it could support the unit. Laura (the operations manager who scheduled and sent me LOTS of info for the permit, etc.) was very courteous and timely every single time. Service, Quality, and Value!
I am "in the trade," so to speak... meaning I know something about HVAC. I, however, did not wish to install our new AC myself... too old for that now. I got 3 other companies to get me a quote for installing AC in our existing forced-air system before Legacy One. To be honest, by the time Legacy came along, I was pretty frustrated with the others. I like to 'play dumb' just to see what kind of unnecessary work was going to be pushed. Some of the sales pitches were kinda scary, to be honest. Two of them wanted to walk the entire house and "count floor and ceiling registers" so they could determine what AC unit would work best. (That's actually pretty funny, btw) I played along...
When Legacy came along, everything the estimator said was spot-on. Nothing was pushed that wasn't necessary. When he was finishing, I asked if he wanted to walk the house and count the registers... he chuckled a bit and said no. I stated that I had heard that it was necessary to determine if our system was 'sized properly.' I love his response (probably 100% verbatim): "During the winter, does your furnace do a good job of heating your house?" to which I said "yes"... he then said "I think you're good then." Priceless.
We couldn't be happier with the service, quality, and value! As a matter of fact... we now have 3 other family and friends that have had Legacy One install AC for them as well based on my experience.
The only downside? No referral bonus? haha (that's OK, I'll still refer people!)
